The Junior Writing Club is getting all excited about writing for the East Riding Poetry Competition. We've been thinking of various ideas that could describe 'My Wonderful World' and one of the things that make the world wonderful, as agreed by everyone, was ICE CREAM!

We looked at the history of ice-cream and discussed our favourite flavours at length!

Here is a poem - all about ice-cream!

Flavours by Bella Barton

Today’s flavour of gelato was handed to me

In a bowl with edible flowers

I took my time eating it

And savoured every part

This was my favourite food in all of Italy.

I said my order and

Grabbed it off the counter.

I practically inhaled the delicious concoction.

I am so pleased how this day turned out…

I love mint choc chip ice cream.
