World Poetry Day

We had a special guest today to attend our Junior Writers' Club. Well, he couldn't come in person, so we stepped into his writing shed and Jonny Fluffypunk guided us through a poetry writing session.

Here's his video, and if you'd like to do it again ... well, YOU CAN!

Here are a few poems fro that workshop. Enjoy!

Take me away to ……

Take me away to India

I smell the lit up fire of a barbeque

Take me there in a golden bus which has 10 wheels and 8 radios playing songs the whole journey

I’ll be wearing a blue and red striped T-shirt with shining words saying ‘I am in India’

When I reach there my grandpa will be waiting for me

with a video game

I’ll hug my Grandpa

I’ll have a go at the video games

I’ll wave my arms and say “I will never leave to another country”

I will fall asleep and dream of the same thing that happened today

Take me away

Take me away to the moon.

Take me in a rainbow coloured rocket with 10 boosters.

I will be wearing a rainbow jacket and a pair of wings that say I love my life!

And when I get there my friend will be waiting to leap me up and down!

And I will fall asleep slipping into my dreams.

Take me away

Take me away to the beach with lovely palm trees and dark

blue water .

Take me there in a red plane scooter with golden colour

stripers.

I will be wearing a green, flowery jumpsuit and pink trainers.

And when I get there Samriddhi my friend will be carrying a

pretty gift.

I'll open the gift and it will be a flying rocket.

We will fly in it and shout , "We are free!"

I will fall asleep and dive into dream world.
