Time goes on by Tavinder Kaur New

Thanks to Tavinder for the following piece from a recent WFW workshop, in response to Serendipity by Jeannine Hall Gailey. "Your dreams are fish that flash through the water."

Tick tock, tick tock, time goes on,

The seconds, the minutes, and the hours go on.

Time will pass, time will go, and time won't wait.

Don't let time rule you; just be whatever you are,

Rushing around or watching the clouds in the sky,

Don't let time rule you; it will go this way.

Time will pass, time will go, and time won't wait.

Don't let time rule you.

Do what you can; do what is possible, not impossible, in seconds, minutes, and hours.

Tick tock, tick tock, time goes on,

It is the hand of the clock; time will go.

Don't let the clock control you; just be. Don't let the beat of the clock imprison you.

Don't watch it constantly, taken in by its web, putting your life to its beat,

Do what you can; do what is realistic, not unrealistic.

After all, we don't have all the time in the world, do we?
