I Need Some Space

This week, we approached the space theme from a slightly different angle.
We started by sharing a favourite place to go when you need some space/had a busy day. Then we did some free writing about that place, using the senses - starting with smells, then sounds, textures, feelings, sights - furthest thing you can see, and the nearest.
After sharing these, we revisited the theme from the point of view of characters, beginning a piece of writing (prose or script) with a character saying ‘I just need some space’ (this could be an existing character or a new character - it could even be the characters from last week!)
Who is this character?
Who are they talking to?
What is the relationship between them?
What's the most important thing they share?
When was the last time they had an argument - and why?
Why does character 1 need space?
How does the other character react?

The sharing and feedback was excellent and varied, including a return from Eve's character, Ellen, back doing laundry, relationships between couples, siblings and more!
