PITCHALICIOUS

PITCHALICIOUS

Hey, kid! You got a great idea for a Hollywood movie? Prove it!

Let me set the scene… today we pitched our movies to none other than Ali Sparkes alter ego, top LA producer, Alicia Sparklestein.

Alicia paired up the kids and each pair picked two prompts from the ‘Box of Wonder’ and then used the prompts to help create and inform their film pitch!

We had lots of incredible pairings

Dragon and Alien Contact

Unicorn and telekensis

Tsunami and time travel

To name a few.

Here are some of the films pitched to Alicia. Ali wanted a focus to be on the screenplays, so the pitches didn't have to have a script or dialogue

A Forgotten Detail - Tilly & Hanna

A baby boy called Jack is brutally murdered during his baptism. The ghost of Jack appears to a character called Cordelia, the ghost takes her on a journey back in time to save her parents who died in a tsunami

The Avelanche and the mind reader - Pippa and Erifyli

We meet our main character Grace, she is reading a book about how to get better at mind control. She hears a knock at her door, she then starts hurriedly packing a bag… where is she going!

Hot Pursuit -  Jem and Keiran

The bones of Alfred the Great are in a volcano on a remote island! Keiran and Jem teamed up well, with Keiran writing scene 2, act 1, and Jem writing scene 2, act 2, for our script part of the workshop.

Alicia was impressed, our work here was done

Until next time.
