Happy Summer Solstice!

Thursday was the longest day and as Writing for Wellbeing reconvened after a short break, and the sun streamed (finally!) into our rooms, the group's thoughts and our words ran to the turning of time, the distractions of June, and embracing the light.

We considered Loren Broaddus's poem 'Solstice Walk', captivated by lines such as 'honeyed evening light/firing his Irish hair'.

Having created our own individual pieces, we finished by creating a collaborative acrostic poem, a line per person, using the chat function in zoom.

'Errors' retained, for fun :)

Happy Solstice!
