Diamonds Are Forever

We’re back after half term! To get us back into the mood, Ali set our writers a fill-in fun to work on. Our writers had the characters in the story disagreeing about formalwear in a supermarket, and discussing “astroculinary physics” when eating fragments of star with a cheeseknife.

Ali then got out a box of wonder, and this one contained a series of beautifully coloured glass diamonds. Each writer got to pick one from the box to use as inspiration before they were asked to create a story focussing on three questions:

Where did you get this diamond?

Who must you hide it from?

When you look into it, what are you seeing in your future?

After everyone had read out their work - including the discovery of a gem in a lake and an adventurer finding a single amethyst after slaying a dragon - we did a round of Frankenstory to finish up!

It was a wonderful session to get back into the groove, and we can’t wait to see what our writers come up with next.
