Autumn Term WEEK 4- CREATURES

BEWAREEE Junior Writers!

We began with word of the week, finishing the sentence we’re on proves tricky when we’re keen to keep writing!

We then started designing characters on the theme of monsters and creatures.

All contributing to the different parts of the body, we had insect eyes, tentacle feet and cat in the hat faces.

We wrote about the monster’s scent, sounds, palette and its biggest fear!

We read the Jabberwocky, and then wrote poems about discovering our creature.

We ended on heads down thumbs up- traitors style!

Young Writers,

We designed our characters for the week, on the theme of monsters and creatures!

We learnt how to fold the paper down properly this time, our last creature ended up being double sided..

We had named characters, alligators with arrows, voodoo dolls, horn hats and banana legs!

Our writing for the week looked at poems and more specifically ballad structures to create short stories about the journey of how we meet our monsters.

We’re keen to explore how our characters meet, and what sort of visual world we will start creating.

Eddy ended with sharing his article on Freeland! Perhaps some collective articles will be coming to group soon?…

Next week is our last week of term, bring spooky vibes and crime writing brains!

See you next week,
