Constellations and Poetry

Photo by Samuel PASTEUR-FOSSE on Unsplash

Who isn't wondering about the wonderful universe we live in? The latest images from the James Webb Space Telescope showed us the secrets of the constellations and nebulas, stars. We looked at the images and thought about art, poetry and music. All of which them are so universal and yet so personal.

Here are some of the poems written by the Junior Club members.

The Southern Ring Nebula

The Southern Ring Nebula looks like an eye

Don’t worry and don’t be shy

The southern Ring Nebula looks like a mum’s womb

Or just a fire bomb

The Southern Ring Nebula’s picture was taken by NASA rocket

Not with the phone in the pocket

The Southern Ring Nebula doesn’t have lots of stars around

Why do they not surround?

The Carina Nebula

The Carina Nebula looks like the mountains

Or just a sea fountain

The Carina Nebula looks like the ocean waves

Oh look at the star save

The Carina Nebula has a night sky

Oh let’s not say good bye

The Carina Nebula is the constellation of stars

Oh yes, it is so far

-       Arsh

Carina Nebula

Orange, orange,

Like the sun,

It is a sea of orange backgrounds and a

constellation of stars,

"Dddddd!" goes the Carina Nebula in the night,

Staring at me and smiling every time I look at it.

Southern Ring Nebula

Red and blue,

Like an electronical blast,

It is a painting where all the paint is spread out,

"Whoosh!" goes the Southern Ring Nebula,

Spreading out in the shape of a star.
