This week, we worked through the challenges and prompts of fellow ArtfulScribe facilitator Antosh Wojcik's 'Feeling Weird Today' soundscape-based workshop for the Poetry Society. It's available to access here and we would all really recommend it!

Everyone enjoyed responding to the soundscape, with some brilliant suggestions appearing in the chat of specific images which the soundscape inspired, including a choir of beluga whales! It inspired some really beautiful, imagery-rich poems, conveying a wonderful range of emotions and specific relationships with friends, pets, family - and, of course, lamps!
With various poetry competitions fast approaching, including the Live Canon Children's Poetry Competition (https://www.livecanon.co.uk/competitions-and-opportunities/childrenscompetition), the YPN Keats challenges (https://ypn.poetrysociety.org.uk/workshop/the-weariness-the-fever-and-the-fret-writing-illness-health-and-john-keats/) and the Foyles Young Poets (https://foyleyoungpoets.org/), this workshop seems to have inspired some wonderful poems at the perfect time - thank you Antosh!
