Junior and young writers WEEK 1- PLACE

Hello Junior Writers!

( We’re yet to find our collective group name!) stay tuned…

We began with a greeting from the room’s creaking ghostly door, creating a real atmosphere thinking about our places. (We know it wasn’t just Millie opening the window don’t we!)

Today’s Journey:

1. Word stories- a 5 min opening including our random word. We had Dragons, balloons and excitement.

2. Buzzy bees

3. We thought of a place, with additions of naming the senses, objects big and small in as much detail possible. Juno’s was Smudge Land, residents include: Smudget, Smudgeok and Smudgets plural.

We then wrote postcards to this place, writing in the way of the character. Elsie’s was to and from a detective, and her postcard was a puzzle to be solved between recipients.

Young Writer’s, hello! Hannah here!

1. Word stories- a 5 min opening including our random word. Sonny and Eddy were particularly keen to think of the longest word possible!

2. Buzzy bees- extended- Alliteration. We had lonely leprechauns and lethargic limpets

3. Places and postcards!

Tadpoles overcoming the world but sadly crashed in space before they could write their postcard from Leonora and not to mention Pablo Jay Maurice Christian Hernandez 3rd by Wilf

Until next week,
