Wednesday 15 November 2022 Writer Facilitator and Assistants Required

15 November 2023

ArtfulScribe is looking to expand the pool of writer facilitators and assistants working in the Solent Region. Successful candidates will be cover for existing roles with the potential to lead new projects.

The Facilitator will be capable of planning sessions that encourage, inspire, motivate, and develop young writers through engagement with a wide range of approaches, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and prose. The writer/facilitator will be supported by a project manager and will work alongside an assistant who will provide administration, evaluation, and marketing support.

As well as being a talented writer, the writer/facilitator will be energetic, dynamic, inspiring and passionate. A provable track record of workshop delivery and publication/professional experience is also desired, along with an engaging and confident approach to public speaking as a capable support for Young Writers at any live events in the city.

This is an excellent portfolio opportunity for a writer to raise their public profile and gain valuable experience working in an environment that supports a diverse community and values young voices.

While no experience is required for the assistant roles, applicants need to be aged 18 or over. Please state why you think you would be an ideal candidate for consideration in your expression of interest.

Applications should be addressed to matt@artfulscribe.co.uk, with a subject heading of 'writer facilitators and assistants application.'
