We are looking for:
- 2x female voice actors, age 25-35.
- 1x male voice actor age 35-45.
Preferably
based in South East or South West England.
The voice acting roles are to read the parts of ‘Scarlett’, ‘Amy’
and ‘Dad’ in ‘Wessex Whispers’ by Saskia Black.
‘Wessex Whispers’ is a poetic, magic-realist audio drama in which protagonist,
Scarlett, detaches from present time into her memories. This results in her
becoming partly trapped in the past, pulled between the bliss of childhood myth and the trauma of losing her Dad. This
drives her to reconnect with her sister, Amy to try and find a solution for her problem. It is a whimsical journey of sisterhood & family, that speaks to
the process of grief and memory, acceptance and imagination.
The project is commissioned by Calling The Shots & The BBC as part of the
New Creatives development programme and will be distributed via BBC Sounds
early 2021.
