Winchester Poetry Festival and ArtfulScribe are pleased to announce a new education partnership as part of the festival’s 2020 delivery programme. Recognising a shared regional focus, complementary skills, and shared interest in developing and empowering young people as writers and creative decision-makers, Winchester Poetry Festival and ArtfulScribe have worked together to devise a new education programme, building on recent festival initiatives and with a view to enhancing the festival's education offer over the next three years. Supported by funding from Arts Council England, the education partnership will work with primary schools, secondary schools and sixth-form colleges to encourage a new generation of writers to engage with poetry’s potential to surprise and delight through written and spoken word for both performance and print publication.
