Experienced Fundraising Consultant Req'd
Deadline Monday 18th October at midnight

ArtfulScribe is a writer development agency based in Southampton. Formally constituted in 2012, the business aims to raise the profile of writers and writing through workshops, career and professional development, publications, residencies, and performance opportunities.
Our stakeholders include funders, arts and culture organisations, schools, universities, city councils, libraries, and people with an interest in writing as readers, listeners, practitioners and audience members.
Currently funded on a project-by-project basis, working primarily in Hampshire and Dorset, ArtfulScribe is developing to encompass an administrative ‘Solent’ region, from Basingstoke in the north, to the Isle of Wight in the south; from Portsmouth in the east to Portland in the west. We are also moving to new premises at MAST (Mayflower Studios) in Southampton’s Cultural Quarter and preparing for milestone events including submitting an Arts Council England National Portfolio application and supporting Southampton’s bid to become City of Culture in 2025.
To facilitate this growth we are undertaking organisational development work, supported by funding from Arts Council England.  We invite tenders from experienced and innovative fundraising consultants to carry out a strategic review and develop a detailed and comprehensive fundraising strategy, implementation plan and to advise on aligning marketing/communications plan to support organisational growth and sustainability.

  • Review and evaluate fundraising strategy in relation to plans/activities, partnerships, policies & practices.
  • Research current external environment within which ArtfulScribes fundraising operates.
  • Research, identify and advise on potential new/enhanced sources of fundraising income.
  • Develop a detailed and comprehensive fundraising strategy to generate sustainable and diverse income streams within the optimum funding mix and aligned to ArtfulScribes values and strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Develop key messages to align with a Communications/Marketing plan to support and drive income generation.

As a self-motivated and adaptable professional you will work with support from ArtfulScribe’s director to:
