MAST Mayflower Studios | 12-13 March 2022
In partnership with the Department of English at University of Southampton, ArtfulScribe & MAST Mayflower Studios present: ArtfulScribe’s Spoken Word Weekender, supported by Arts Council England.

This weekend takeover event features performance showcases from the UK’s most innovative small presses, writing, editing & translation workshops, as well as an edition of Write-A-Note and the ArtfulScribe Community Showcase.

‘Pushing the Line’: Poetry Writing with John McCullough

‘Editing Hacks’: Poetry Editing with Amy Acre
Join lead editor of Bad Betty Press for a workshop on the art of editing poetry, broken down into a toolkit of techniques that will be vital for suping up your self-editing skills!

Tongue Fu
Poets, writers and storytellers take to the stage to perform live, amplified by the quick-witted improvisers of the Tongue Fu band. The evening’s featured guests are Zena Edwards and Matt Harvey.

A brand spanking new family show with poetry, puppetry, story, song and a healthy dose of ramshackle anarchy, from the renowned stand-up poet and lo-fi theatre maker.
