LUKE WRIGHT
MAST Mayflower Studios | 31 May 7.30pm

ArtfulScribe Presents: Luke Wright, "the bard of lockdown" (The Telegraph), at MAST Mayflower Studios on 31 May 2022.

Whether he’s opening for the Libertines or reciting Georgian ballads down your local, Luke Wright is adept at taking poetry to places it doesn’t normally go

Winner of the Saboteur Award for Best Spoken Word Performer 2021 and John Cooper Clarke’s regular warm-up guy, Luke writes poems that are tender, riotous, caustic and romantic then delivers them with the ferocity and panache of a raconteur at the top of his game.

“Fierce, wistful, romantic and witty. A sensational hour of poetry.” ★★★★★ The Stage

Tickets are now available through MAST Mayflower Studios.
OPPORTUNITIES
LIFE WRITING WORKSHOP
WEB SERIES WORKSHOP
A free life-writing workshop, led by writer Jacob Ross, is taking place online on Saturday 23 April (1.30-3.30pm), for people who wish to draw on personal experiences, memories, recollections and events.

In this two-hour workshop you will learn how to present your 'character' on the page, create reading momentum through strong narrative threads, and effective ways of locating your writing in place and time. Find tickets here.

What are the expectations of online audiences? Who are the commissioners? What is the best format? How can you use web series to break into the industry? This workshop will answer all of these questions using case studies and by breaking down the narrative structure of various web series.

Join EUROSCRIPT tutor, screenwriter and script editor Alizée Musson for a one day practical screenwriting workshop (Saturday 23rd April 10-5pm) that will get you started on creating an idea for a web series. Find tickets here.
PAID FACILITATION OPPORTUNITY
Live Art Local CIC is seeking a poet, or poets, to deliver five one hour sessions at schools in the Fareham area in the summer term, supporting pupils to craft poems around a specific theme.
