WORDCUP 2023

ArtfulScribe facilitators Antosh Wojcik & Claire Hillier work with Wessex School Slam Champions, Hounsdown School, on their journey to WORDCUP 2023

WORDCUP is a spoken word project for young people aged 13 – 16. This project builds on the success of our previous national youth poetry projects WORDCUP2006/2010/2014 and Shake the Dust 2012 which was part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

What’s it all about?
WORDCUP2023 aspires to the following key values: ensuring that participants value an appreciation of craft and continued development, establishing a community of young poets and performers, and fostering in participants a willingness to listen to the voices of people around them.
