Rohan (he/him) is a theatre director and writer from Dorset. He trained at Birkbeck and the Unicorn Theatre during the pandemic, assisting on multiple new plays for young audiences. Previously he studied English and Drama at the University of East Anglia, graduating in 2019. Rohan is currently the Artistic Director of Dorsetborn, a theatre company determined to create new plays and support local artists around the South West. They are an associate company of National Youth Theatre and have been supported by Arts Council England.
As a writer, Rohan is constantly inspired by the work of Caryl Churchill, Percy Shelley, and Aaron Sorkin. He has written plays for Dorsetborn and Coast to Coast Theatre Company. He loves leading Poole Lighthouse Young Writers and is delighted that our opportunities remain free to young people around Dorset. He is a trustee of Activate Performing Arts and a member of the BCP Cultural Compact Board. Oh, and he also once won £5 on 'Bargain Hunt'.
