For 25 years as a poet, editor, artistic director, programme leader, facilitator and poetry professor, Jacob Sam-La Rose been responsible for developing generations of poets, educators and participants through city-wide, national and international initiatives such as Barbican Young Poets, the Spoken Word Education Programme, and Apples & Snakes' Word Cup.
