Harley is an author, poet, and general nuisance. In 2023 they performed in the BBC’s Contains Strong Language spoken word festival after being one of the 8 winners for the Words First competition, and have also worked with English Heritage in their poetry career. They write gamebooks under their professional name H L Truslove, and when not passionately performing at an open mic, can usually be found playing Dungeons & Dragons with their mates.

Harley assists author Ali Sparkes in running the Mayflower Creative Writers 15-18s group.
