Mayflower Junior Writers

24 September 2022

9.30-11am, MAST Mayflower Studios

Are you in Year 3-6? Do you like writing? Would you like to work with a professional writer and find out more about different genres and techniques?

ArtfulScribe and Mayflower Engage are inviting young people to get involved with a regular creative writing group that will help develop skills, confidence and experience of a writer's life.

Participants will explore creative writing through workshops on topics like characterisation, dialogue, setting and plot, as well as through practical exercises. Writers will work across genres including non-fiction, fiction, poetry and script-writing.

Sessions will take place on a Saturday morning (see timetable) during term times. All sessions will take place at MAST Mayflower Studios.

These sessions are free but we are looking for commitment. All workshops are suitable for beginners and advanced writers.

Participants are welcome to try a session before committing to the group with a free taster session. Please ring the box office to book your taster: 02380 711811

Mayflower Junior Writers project is delivered in partnership with ArtfulScribe and kindly supported by Arts Council England.
