Writing a Book Review (and Championing a Book You Love)

10 November 2026

2:00PM-3:30PM

Join poet and writer, Matt West, for a light-hearted look at how to write a book review, followed by writing time and sharing.

Be prepared to talk about a book you love, why it’s important to you, and why someone else should give it a go. This workshop is open to anyone who cares about books, or a book, and who would like to champion the joys of reading to other people.

This workshop is delivered in partnership between Southampton Libraries and ArtfulScribe.

The session is free but advanced booking is required. If you’re no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking so others don’t miss out. Thank you.

Venue: Southampton Central Library

Date: 10 November

Time: 2pm - 3.30pm

Age range: from 14+

ArtfulScribe supports writers at all ages and stages of their development and can signpost to a wider network of opportunity if unable to help directly.
