Mask Off: Creative Writing for Neurodivergent Women

16 January 2026 - 27 March 2026

10AM-12PM In Person

A group for neurodivergent women to express their stories through creative writing.

Join writer Susan L. Edser to develop your skills and confidence in creative writing, write about your own lived experiences or create fictional stories.

This workshop is for anyone who identifies as a neurodivergent woman or who is non-binary and comfortable in a space centred on women's experiences, who would like to connect with like-minded people and tell their own stories on their own terms.

You do not need to be formally diagnosed to attend, nor do you need experience in creative writing. Simply come as you are and see where writing takes you in a safe, supportive environment.

Sessions run on Friday mornings fortnightly at October Books from 10 am -12 pm and will follow a similar format each week, including:

- Check-in (e.g. writing joys and challenges)

- Topic discussion (e.g. autistic authors, writing skills)

- Writing prompt (e.g. music, art, books, film)

- Writing exercise (e.g. working in small groups, pairs, or individual writing)

- Option to share and receive feedback from peers

If you have any questions (nothing is too much to ask), please contact admin@artfulscribe.co.uk.
