Writers in Schools

What's it all about?

Building on legacy established in previous years, SO:Write will place writers in schools to develop links between students and the wider writing community. Students will be encouraged to create new work, and to consider how their work can contribute to a local and national arts scene.  Part of the project’s school work will include the Wessex Schools Literary Festival Inter-School Poetry Slam, where local schools compete for the coveted titles of individual and school poetry slam champions. Students will also be offered showcase opportunities at other SO:write events. Schools are invited to contact matt@artfulscribe.co.uk to take part in this initiative.
