Writing for Performance

Lydia is an alumnus of the Royal Court and Soho Theatre Writers Groups. Her first play, Hear Me Howl, was a 'Time Out Top Pick' of VAULT Festival and toured the South West. After graduating from the National Film & Television School with an MA in screenwriting, her TV pilot A True Crime Story (co-written with Joseph Baker) made The Brit List 2020 and is now in development with Various Artists Limited. She's received script commissions from Ubisoft Film & TV, The BFI and co-wrote the 2021 Emmy-winning VR animation, Madrid Noir. Her BFI short Rapture (dir. Em Smith) is currently on the festival circuit, starring Jessica Hynes and Siobhan Finneran. Most recently, Lydia's YA supernatural comedy Beth Vs Death won the BAFTA Rocliffe YA Media competition and she was in a writers room for a new animated TV series.
