Lighthouse Young Writers, Dorset

08 February 2020

9.15am -11am (11-14) and 1115am - 1pm (15-18)

Do you like creative writing? Are you aged between 11-18?

Then you need to sign up to Young Writers, a brand-new Lighthouse learning programme.

As a Lighthouse Young Writer, you will get the chance to attend workshops led by professional writers, attend Lighthouse performances for free and see your work published online, in print, and performed on a stage before a live audience.

Workshops run on Saturday mornings on a weekly basis during term times and offer a safe, supportive environment, encouraging young writers to share work and to give and receive feedback in a respectful way that empowers voices in the workshop community. We run two workshops, for 11-14 year olds and 15 -18 year olds. These are a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and a lot of fun.

These sessions are free but we are looking for commitment. Places are limited, please register your interest by emailing us or calling 01202 280000. All workshops are suitable for beginners and advanced writers.

To find out a little more about the content of the sessions, check out our Young Writers blog.
